PRESIDENT – JAY WALKER
Jay M. Walker joined Trenam in December 2002 in the St. Petersburg office and became a Shareholder in 2007. He is a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Jay is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator with an emphasis in foreclosure disputes. His experience includes real property litigation with an emphasis on landlord/tenant disputes, shareholder disputes, surety litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and mediation.
PUBLICATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS:
Jay is an author and presenter of numerous continuing legal education seminars emphasizing Landlord/Tenant law.
HONORS & DISTINCTIONS:
IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT AND FUNDRAISING CHAIR – DAVID VANN
David Vann has been a fixture at NELL for over half a decade, coaching over 25 teams for his three sons. He served NELL as president for the 2016 - 2017 season. He is the owner of The Vann Team realty agency, a long-time sponsor of our league.
VP OF BASEBALL – TRENT MANKE
Trent is the godfather of Northeast Little League. He successfully managed the 2016 Athletics to a Minor AAA championship, which was single-handedly the highlight of his life. He has started a support group for parents of left-handed catchers, and remains the only member. His biggest claim to fame is that he has thrown every pitch of every tryout at NELL since 1987.
VP OF SOFTBALL – GAVIN BLACKETT
Professionally, Gavin Blackett has had a varied career in academia, large and small businesses in a variety of roles. He currently works with a large company supporting their electronics supply chain, and he also has two small businesses that focus on engineering and water systems. He has over twenty years as a program manager, scientist and engineer. He has led global teams in a variety of technical and industrial sectors and worked across Marketing and Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain and Product Development. He has managed products and services at several Fortune 500 companies, ranging from $5M to $1.5B, at Lucent/Bell Labs, Finisar and Jabil as well as several start-ups. He has lead technical marketing on several offers (target costing, cost/experience curves, & product technology roadmaps) and global supply chain design and deployment. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Tennessee, with work at Fermi National Laboratory (FNAL) and the Stanford Accelerator Center (SLAC), where he worked on large heterogeneous datasets. He holds a Bachelor’s of Physics from the University of California (Berkeley). He is a member of The American Physical Society (APS), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Certified Scrum Master.
Gavin lives in Saint Petersburg with his family, and they are members of Saint Raphael Church. His kids attend public schools in Pinellas and are involved in a variety of clubs and music – two play violin and one plays cello. He is currently the VP of Softball at NELL. Two of his three kids play at NELL, and he coaches on both his son’s Majors BB and daughter’s Player Pitch SB teams.
TREASURER – SIOBHAN PIETRUSZKIEWICZ
Siobhan is married to Chris Pietruszkiewicz and they have two boys, Ryan (10) and John (6) who attend LCC Day School. Both boys have played with NELL for 6 seasons. Siobhan has been a t-ball assistant coach for John for 5 seasons and has volunteered in the dugout for Ryan’s AAA teams for 2 seasons. Siobhan is a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience writing and implementing grants for state agencies and non-profits. She has also taught social work courses at Louisiana State University for undergraduate and graduate students as well as law students. Siobhan is also a basketball official and has worked Division II and III women’s college basketball games and school games. Siobhan currently referees basketball in the Pinellas County area. When Siobhan is not on a baseball field or a basketball court, she is usually volunteering at LCC Day School.
INFORMATION OFFICER – GEOFF LECAIN
Geoff is responsible for communicating information to everyone involved in our league, especially through our new website and Facebook pages. He is married to Whitney and they have 3 children, 2 of whom play at NELL. Geoff has coached his 2 sons at Fossil Park and NELL for the past 4 years and is spending his third year on the NELL board. Geoff moved to Florida over 20 years ago to attend University of Tampa and has remained here since. For the last 12 years, Geoff has been COO and co-owner of Intagras, a software and consulting firm based in Tampa that serves pharmaceutical companies. When not working, he enjoys playing golf, guitar, and spending time with his family.
COACHING COORDINATOR – STEVEN GRANESE
Steven was worked in the Technology field for his entire 18 year career and is currently the Director of the Agile Consulting practice at AgileThought. He is a graduate of Clearwater Central Catholic High School and Wake Forest University, where he was a catcher on the baseball team for 4 years. He also holds graduate degrees in technology from both Georgetown University and Carnegie Mellon University.
Steven and his wife are both natives of Pinellas County. They attend St. Raphael’s Church and have two sons who attend Shorecrest. Both of their boys have played at NELL since T-Ball, and Steven has coached in the league since 2011.

MINORS PLAYER AGENT & SOFTBALL PLAYER AGENT– DANNY ANDERSON
Danny served as the President of Northeast Little League (NELL) from 2014 - 2016, he has served on the NELL Board of Directors (DOB) since the beginning of the Fall Season of 2012, and has been an active participant in BOD activities since 2011.
Danny has four children; two currently participating at NELL. Danny has been managing teams at NELL since 2011 and has been managing and coaching in youth sports, including baseball, football and soccer since 2004. At NELL, Danny coaches in both baseball and softball.
Danny, his wife and two younger children, who attend Lakeview Fundamental, are members of the Lutheran Church of the Cross (LCC), where you will find Danny playing bass in the church band and singing bass in the Choir. You can also catch Danny at St. Raphael’s with his two older sons, or at Woodlawn playing flag football or an occasional softball game.
Professionally, Danny is a Systems Engineer at Raytheon, and has worked in the Aerospace and Defense industry since 1995. Danny received his Master’s in Science from the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Industrial Engineering in 1998, and his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from UCF in 1994.
FUNDRAISING CHAIR – MEREDITH GUZMAN
Meredith assists David Vann in coordinating the various sponsorships throughout the year. This is Meredith’s first year to the board but she is not new to NELL. Meredith is married to Luis Guzman and they have 3 children together and a step-daughter (Gabbi- 18, Luke – 10, Cruz – 7, Lourdes – 6). Meredith has Managed 2 seasons of AAA baseball along with her husband and is involved in the softball program. She enjoys passing on her experience, knowledge and love of the game to young players.
Meredith grew up in Lithia, FL, and was a multi-sport athlete including playing softball for Plant City H.S., travel ball for 6 years and she was a recipient of an athletic scholarship in softball to the University of Kentucky. When Meredith is not at the ballfield she is a Senior Roadshow Coordinator at Raymond James.
UMPIRE-IN-CHARGE – KEITH SKOREWICZ
Keith Skorewicz is serving his second season on the board. He has coached for several seasons at NELL and has three children in the league.
Keith is an active member of The Florida Bar, and the Hillsborough County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Business Law and Litigation sections, as well as the Commercial Finance and Secured Lending committees of the American Bar Association. He served as a law clerk for two years to the Honorable Chris W. Altenbernd, Chief Judge, Florida District Court of Appeal, Second District. While in law school, Keith served as a law clerk for the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. Keith is an active member of the Eckerd College Alumni Association, the Bridgton Academy Alumni Association, the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society, and is a graduate of the Leadership Tampa Class of 2013.
Keith is a recognized as a member of Florida’s “Up & Coming Legal Elite” by Florida Trend magazine, and was named one of Florida’s Super Lawyers for 2016.
TEE-BALL PLAYER AGENT – BRIAN STONE
\After coaching 8 seasons in NELL, Brian was elected to the board of directors in the fall of 2015, serving as Secretary. This season, Brian is the Tee-Ball Player Agent. He has 2 sons, Braden & Austin, who will be participating in AAA this coming season. When not coaching baseball, Brian enjoys tennis, boating, traveling, and playing with his children. He works as an investments wholesaler for Pacific Life Insurance Company and has lived in Florida for 15 years after relocating from St. Louis.
EQUIPMENT MANAGER – STEPHEN HALLE
Steve is the Equipment Manager whose duties include managing NELL’s inventory of equipment including pitching machines, catching gear, and game and practice balls as well as providing coaches with the proper equipment for their teams.
Steve was born in St. Petersburg and lives in Shore Acres with his wife, two sons and a daughter. His two boys have played baseball at NELL for 6 years and Steve has coached for the last 5 years.
FUNDRAISING AND OPENING DAY CHAIR – HEIDI GREW
Heidi is married to Scott and they have 2 sons, both of whom have played at NELL for the past seven years. Heidi has served as PTA Treasurer and President at Lakeview Fundamental Elementary School and is enjoying her first year on the NELL board. Heidi also serves as Membership Chair for Boy Scout Troop 219 at St Raphaels’ Catholic Church. Heidi moved to Florida over 20 years ago following graduation from the Ohio State University and has remained here since. For the last 10 years, Heidi has been co-owner of ProFinders, Inc, an executive recruitment firm specializing in the placement of sales, marketing and human resources professionals nationally. When not working, Heidi enjoys traveling, running, watching Ohio State football and spending time with her family.
